Picnic Fayre Cley-Next-The-Sea, North Norfolk. Run since 1984 by John and Vicky Pryor. You won’t leave empty handed. Apart from our pies, Sarah reckons they sell the best uncooked chorizo in Norfolk (possibly outside Spain) and has long loved their lavender focaccia bread - which is gorgeous and savoury in a fragrant rosemary-ish way. Back to the Garden - Letheringsett, Holt, North Norfolk. A very popular farm shop on the main road between Holt and Fakenham. The shop is a pleasure to visit for a lot of reasons but the incredible 18th century barn conversion that it’s housed in is definitely one. Mannington Hall Gardens, North Norfolk. One of Norfolk’s most beautiful houses, seat of the Walpole family and surrounded by a moat. The Greedy Goose tea rooms source the best of Norfolk food and chef Helen’s team bake delicious cakes in house. They are open Sundays 12-5 until the first week in June then Wednesday ,Thursday, Friday & Sunday until September.

Green Pastures Farm Shop Bergh Apton - A garden centre with a very long history. Now run by James and Michelle, Green Acres was created by James’ grandfather. You might recognise James (who is also a writer and photographer) from his weekly gardening column in the Norwich Evening News.
