Grain Brewery - One of life’s joys is a very fine beer with a pork pie. And Geoff and Phil are generally held to be some of the best brewers around. They are based at Alburgh in the Waveney Valley in South Norfolk - click here for their website.

Cley Smokehouse - stunning traditionally smoked fish produced on the North Norfolk coast, universally known as the best locally and they do mail order too. The difference in taste between these and a dyed yellow kipper that you might buy in a supermarket is vast. Their smoked eel is stunning too. Click here for their website. 01263 740282

EnjoyNorth Norfolk.com - a well stocked and constantly growing website that’s a fount of knowledge for what’s worth doing, eating or buying in the region. A local’s eye view. Andrew, who edits the site and has rather fine taste, only includes the really nice stuff. It’s an indispensable fast track to getting the most from North Norfolk (with a very appealingly determined foodie slant). Click here for the website.
